Contract win for YorkshireCloud.co.uk

We’re delighted to announce that YorkshireCloud.co.uk has been appointed by JCT600 Contracts.

The Bradford-based company, which is part of the JCT600 group, offers vehicle leasing and management services to the corporate and personal markets and operates a fleet of over 6,000 vehicles for a variety of owners. With a 15-strong sales team, many of whom work remotely, JCT600 Contracts wanted a cloud storage solution that would streamline the IT systems for its sales department and increase flexibility.

Brian Kirby, systems manager for JCT600 Contracts, said: “It was becoming very cumbersome for the team to have to email documents to each other and we inevitably had a lot of documents stored on laptops. With Integral’s help we did the research on cloud computing and soon realised it made sense for our business to move part of its IT operation to the cloud.”

Mr Kirby added: “Because the Yorkshire Cloud servers are located locally and we know that security is second to none, we were able to get the reassurance we needed that our data would be safe and that there was full accountability.

“The end result for us is that our team can now work from home, or from any location, with full flexibility and have access to all the business’s shared documents, enabling us to work more efficiently. ”

Jonathan Edwards, who launched YorkshireCloud.co.uk after several months’ frustration trying to source reputable and cost effective cloud computing solutions for clients, said: “The cloud has transformed the way that larger companies manage hosting and data but the potential benefits for smaller organisations are enormous.

“With the cloud, adding or reducing capacity is no longer about buying expensive new kit. Because everything is online, and it’s a service that you rent, more capacity can be instantly added with no capital outlay; just an increase in your monthly fee,” he added.

“A big advantage for a smaller business moving to cloud computing is that someone else is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and fixing things if they go wrong. If organisations choose their cloud computing provider carefully they can dramatically reduce their IT management burden,” he said.

Yorkshire Cloud provide hosting on dedicated secure servers in Yorkshire and guarantees reliability levels and fixed rates for businesses as small as five desks.  Edwards’ team offers services that range from simple email hosting packages, to full desktop hosting that replaces the need for large capital investments in servers and computers.
